Every time you go to a party or have a pot luck there is one dish that stands out from the crowd.  One thing that people in the room are buzzing about.  Hand dipped marshmallows are a sure fire party hit.  The combinations are limited only by your imagination.   These chocolate dipped marshmallows can be customized based on your party theme, school or company colors.  Anything you can dream up that goes well with chocolate can serve as a great topping for these delectable treats.
For this I chose a few toppings that sounded good at the time, but even after serving them at the party we hosted recently I already have ideas for a number of other combinations I can’t wait to break out next time. If you have any that come to mind, don’t hesitate to share them with us in the comments section below.
Now onto these show stopping treats:
Coating and Toppings:
Candy Cane Bits
Colored sprinkles are a great contrast to the white of the marshmallow

Shaved Coconut, candy cane bits, sprinkles, and colored sugar
I always use Jumbo marshmallows
Roll your marshmallows in the melted chocolate
The finished products cooling off

What You’ll Need:

  • White Chocolate or Vanilla Almond Bark
  • Milk Chocolate or Chocolate Almond Bark
  • Jumbo Marshmallows
  • Toothpicks or Lollipop sticks
  • Toppings / Coatings
  • Wax Paper
  • Double Boiler

Directions:

Set up two double boilers on your stove and melt the chocolate

Place your marshmallow toppings into small bowls

Insert toothpick or lollipop stick into center of marshmallow

Roll your marshmallow in the melted chocolate to coat, then roll in topping (or sprinkle topping over chocolate coated marshmallow if you want a lighter coating of the topping)

Place hand dipped marshmallow on wax paper and allow chocolate to cool and harden

Eat and Enjoy!
