Kansas City’s Restaurant Week is Back!

January 20 – 29, 2012

Back for its 3rd, and what promises to be its most successful year yet, Restaurant Week in Kansas City kicks off next week.  Featuring 124 restaurants from all corners of town, the 2012 version of Restaurant Week in KC is preparing to wow diners all over town.  The 10 day event starts Friday January 20th and runs through Sunday January 29th.

The Restaurant Week concept features a prix fixe menu with multiple courses highlighting a variety of different cuisines and featuring some of the city’s best chefs and finest restaurants.  From Debbie Gold and The American Restaurant, to Bluestem with their husband and wife team of Colby and Megan Garrelts, there are dining options for every palate and every person.  Featuring some of Kansas City’s most respected and celebrated establishments (Justus Drug Store, Golden Ox, Jazz – A Louisiana Kitchen, Bristol Seafood, Lidia’s, Capital Grille) alongside some of the newest bright spots in the dining community (Gram & Dun, Story, Mestizo, Season’s 52) there truly is something for everyone.

The dining experience is priced at $15 per person for lunch and $30 for dinner and means you have the opportunity to explore places you’ve never been, or try new things at a local favorite.

Not to be overlooked is the charitable aspect of this great event with 10% of each Restaurant Week meal donated to Harvesters, Kansas City’s community food pantry.  Last year over $80,000 was raised, providing more than 400,000 meals to the hungry of Kansas City.

More to come on this over the next week, so check back soon.
