Thanksgiving Libations

Every year we are looking for new and fun holiday drinks to break out over the next 6 weeks (and anytime during the cold winter months for that matter).  So we are going to start it out this year with our weekly holiday drink recipe.  Make it at home for your family, or whip one up at your next holiday party to wow your friends.

This first one is courtesy of Food Network star, celebrity chef, and all around culinary rock star Bobby Flay.

Mulled Red Wine Sangria

Cook: 15 min
Yield:4 servings
Level:Easy
Ingredients

1 bottle Spanish red table wine
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup brandy
3 tablespoons sugar
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced

Directions

Combine wine, juice, brandy and sugar in a medium saucepan over low heat and heat until the sugar has melted. Add the orange and lemon slices and let simmer for 5 minutes. Serve in heat resistant glasses.
