Reported recently by various media outlets, well known, but troubled jazz club Jardine’s (4536 Main St.) has been sold. Located just off the east side of the Country Club Plaza, the well known jazz club has been in trouble recently with varying reports of labor issues and financial struggles. Owner Beena Raja confirmed she had sold the restaurant and club to local entrepreneurs Joseph Fulgenzi and Robert McCain.
Jardine’s had been overwhelmed with negative publicity since it was reported Been Raja had fired the entire staff sometime around Thanksgiving. This coupled with other reports of the restaurant and jazz club being in deep financial trouble made the time ripe for Fulgenzi and McCain to swoop in. Jardine’s website was down for a bit last week, but is back up and under the special events tab, they are promoting their New Year’s Eve party as:
8 to 1 12/31/2011 Saturday
Come and celebrate with us!!! Its gonna be a party Come say hello to Robert,Joseph, Armida,Antonio, Pat and the entire gang!!! Beena is fired.Lets toast 2012 with a bang
Hopefully things get back on track soon, as this legendary local place deserves solid ownership and good management. Check back with us as any more details about the ownership transition become available.
